Deputy Chief Accountant

We are now seeking a Deputy Chief Accountant to strengthen and further develop our accounting operations in Latvia. This is a hands-on role within a dynamic, high‑performing finance team. You will take ownership of group-wide accounting processes, contribute to continuous improvement, and work closely with colleagues across several countries.

Main Responsibilities

  • Ensure compliance with Latvian accounting and tax legislation
  • Process incoming and outgoing invoices, including payments
  • Perform payroll processing and employee-related calculations (business trips, vacations, etc.)
  • Participate in preparing financial statements, reports, and annual accounts
  • Collaborate with internal and external auditors
  • Prepare operational reports and analysis upon management request
  • Communicate and coordinate closely with the Norwegian parent company

We are looking for candidates with:

  • Higher education in accounting, finance, or economics
  • At least 3 years of experience as an accountant or senior accountant
  • Experience with production accounting is considered an advantage
  • Solid understanding of Latvian tax regulations
  • Strong IT skills, including MS Office and Jumis; experience with Microsoft Dynamics 365 is an advantage
  • High degree of responsibility, accuracy, and ability to meet deadlines
  • Strong prioritization skills and ability to work efficiently in a fast‑paced environment
  • Proficiency in English
  • 5–10 years’ experience in group accounting, auditing, or similar roles
  • Ability to work effectively across borders and functions in an international environment
