ryan.clarke@hallgruppen.co.ukA fabric covered structure is often used as a temporary or semi-permanent buiding with a wide variety of uses, but most often storage. The fabric covered structure can be covered with technical textile, sandwich panels or steel sheets, all of which can withstand poor weather and strong winds. The main advantages of a fabric covered building are the low cost, flexibility and speed of delivery, including customisation to meet the needs of any business. Our design can also be very energy efficient, making them a cost-effective option for businesses that need to store large quantities of goods. Contact us for more information!
The price depends on the structure’s size, intended usage and expectations (driving the specifications) and factors like site conditions. For example, adjusting to a slope, increased insulation or customising the design will affect the price. In general, it’s more economical to build a longer lower structure versus a wider taller one. All of our products come at a competitive price with speedy delivery though. We’re happy to provide a free quote quickly.
The delivery time for our temporary buildings and fabric covered structures is very short. We keep many of our ranges in stock and can therefore deliver within a very short time span – just a few days usually for standard specs/sizes. Please contact us and we will let you know the delivery time for your requirements.
Yes! We are happy to assemble your structure. Assembly is always carried out by professional and experienced fitters.
Assembling a fabric covered building is usually quick. The assembly time depends on the size, type, specification, complexity and type of surface for the structure. For example a PVC-only covered small aluminium frame structure on flat concrete will be just a day or two, but a large all-steel composite panel exterior structure adjusted to gradients will take weeks. We will provide an estimate of the assembly time along with the quote.
Yes, you can heat and insulate a temporary building! By using the right insulation and heating methods, you can keep the fabric covered structure warm and comfortable throughout the winter. Hallgruppen offer considerably better insulation meaning it’s easier and cheaper to maintain the required working temperatures. Structures can also be equipped with various options such as air heat pumps.
Whether or not a building permit is required depends on your project – and your location (different rules for different parts of the UK). The best way to find out is to contact your local council but we can also advise and, if you wish, manage the entire process. If you manage it yourself we’ll help with drawings and documentation required. Contact us for more information!
The hard standing surface should preferably be level and able to support the weight of the structure. A newly laid foundation should also have a moisture barrier to prevent water ingress. But we can install structures on most surfaces; there are many variables and considerations though so an understanding of the details is best – let’s talk!
A fabric covered structure requires very little maintenance. However, for best practice, it could be periodically checked for loose or damaged seams, tears or slits in the fabric, or any signs of moisture/water ingress. And an annual check of gutters (if fitted) is very sensible to things working well – leaves will build up. We offer a service and maintenance contract if you’d like us to check & maintain.
A temporary structure can withstand very strong winds because the strength is in the frame and our stcutures are designed according to the relevant Eurocodes (Building Regulations) which includes calculations for snow, wind and anchorage.
Yes, the fabric covered structures are CE marked. We are certified in accordance with EN-1090, which refers to load-bearing components. Companies that manufacture load-bearing components (Truss parts) with Eurocode dimensions must be certified with EN 1090. As a certified manufacturer, we issue declarations of performance and CE marks, which certify that our products meet these standards.
The price depends on the size of the warehouse and your specific requirements. For example, adjusting to site conditions and customising the design will also affect the price. In general, it’s more cost-efficient to build long warehouses instead of wide ones. All of our products come at a competitive price with speedy delivery though and we’re always happy to provide a quick free estimate. Accurate quotes come from a detailed understanding of your situation, requirements & expectations.
