Launches cutting-edge sports facilities in the UK

Hallgruppen, a leading provider of custom and standard sports buildings, announces our strategic expansion of innovative sports building solutions into the UK market. This move introduces a fresh perspective on sports facility construction, promising affordability, durability, and rapid deployment.

With decades of in-house experience, Hallgruppen specializes in designing sports buildings adaptable to various sports activities. Our offerings include both temporary and permanent structures tailored to meet the diverse needs of athletes and sports enthusiasts.

Hallgruppen’s commitment to innovation and excellence in sports facility construction is evident in our adaptable and durable building designs. Among our initiatives, we have introduced an adapted sports building solution for outdoor paddle tennis courts in Denmark. This specially designed cover ensures the courts are accessible year-round, regardless of weather conditions, featuring 9m high legs to conform to the industry standards for Padel facilities.

Further demonstrating their dedication to durable solutions, we have developed sports buildings with insulated ISO covers and steel wall panels. These features facilitate easy graffiti removal and ensure the facilities maintain their aesthetic appeal over time.

A testament to our excellence is the 74-meter-wide football pitch we built in Iceland, an environment known for its harsh weather conditions, including frequent storms and earthquakes. Completed in 2018, this robust structure has withstood these challenges, underpinning Hallgruppen’s focus on safety and long-term performance.

“Hallgruppen’s facilities are designed to be quickly delivered, installed, and relocated if necessary, providing unmatched flexibility for sports organizations and communities,” said Lars Dalgaard CEO of Hallgruppen. “Our in-house team of engineers, architects, and experts guarantees that each project is executed flawlessly, with a rapid turnaround from order-to-handover, ensuring minimal disruption and maximum efficiency.”

Bridging the market gap in the UK

Recognizing a significant market opportunity in the UK, we aim to fill the gap with cost-effective, versatile sports structures. “Our research indicates a growing demand for affordable sports facilities in the UK. We are excited to introduce our proven solutions that combine quality with quick construction times, offering a viable alternative to traditional building methods,” added Dalgaard.

Hallgruppen’s portfolio includes a range of solutions from coverings that protect sports courts from adverse weather conditions to sophisticated, multi-sport facilities designed for year-round use. The versatility of our designs allows for features such as open walls or removable weather shelters, enhancing usability and enjoyment regardless of the season.

A commitment to the future

As an approved member of the Sports and Play Construction Association (SAPCA), we are dedicated to forging strong relationships with both existing and potential customers in the UK. We aim to demonstrate the unique benefits of our sports structures and their role in reshaping the landscape of sports facilities.

Looking forward, Hallgruppen is not just a new player in the UK market; we are a formidable and experienced challenger ready to elevate industry standards. “Since establishing our office the UK in 2022, we have seen how our innovative approach makes us a strong competitor. The presence of robust competition is vital as it drives us to continuously improve and innovate,” concluded Dalgaard.

We invite all interested parties, from sports clubs to educational institutions and local governments, to explore how our sports building solutions can be tailored to meet specific needs, ensuring enhanced sports experiences with minimal environmental impact.
