30,000 m² NATO Camp delivered in 6 months
Hallgruppen delivers NATO camp in record time thanks to its trusted infrastructure solutions. As part of a high-priority assignment for Forsvarsbygg, Hallgruppen successfully delivered a 30,000 square metre camp to support NATO’s Nordic Response exercise in Inner Troms/Norway. Designed to accommodate over 4,000 allied personnel, the camp provides a high standard of comfort and operational functionality for cold-weather training between January and March/April.
Built for Harsh Nordic Conditions – Engineered for Performance
Hallgruppen’s temporary structures are specifically engineered to perform in extreme climates. Each tent is constructed with a triple-layer fabric system:
- A robust outer layer provides an effective air barrier and protection from the cold.
- An insulated middle layer retains heat and ensures thermal efficiency.
- The inner layer helps regulate indoor conditions and reduce noise.
The result is a well-insulated, ventilated and soundproofed environment—delivering comfort, durability and energy efficiency. The innovative construction also prevents snow accumulation, significantly reducing maintenance needs and resource use on site.
Rapid Deployment. Tailored Solutions. Proven Capability.
Drawing on extensive experience in defence and emergency infrastructure, Hallgruppen designed and delivered the camp to meet a wide range of operational needs—accommodation, catering, hygiene and training facilities. More than 4,000 beds and supporting infrastructure were delivered across Setermoen, Bardufoss, Elvegårdsmoen and Akkasæter at the Blåtind training area—all within just six months.
Collaboration That Delivers Results
The project was delivered through close collaboration between Forsvarsbygg Region North, regional authorities and the Forsvarsbygg Project and Development Unit (POU). Hallgruppen’s ability to manage complex requirements, fast-track delivery and ensure high standards has positioned us as a reliable partner for mission-critical infrastructure.
