Fraud attempts involving Hallgruppen

Hallgruppen are increasingly experiencing fraudulent attempts in our company’s name. We want to make our customers and partners aware of a growing number of fraud attempts conducted in Hallgruppen’s name. Dishonest actors exploit our name and reputation in fraudulent attempts targeting both existing customers and random recipients.

We urge everyone to be vigilant regarding suspicious emails and inquiries where the sender appears to be Hallgruppen, in some cases the senders email signature seem to be from one of Hallgruppen’s employees.

• Investigate the domain in the sender’s email address; emails from the company are sent from one of these domain names:

  [name]@hallgruppen.com
  [name]@hallgruppen.no
  [name]@hallgruppen.se
  [name]@hallgruppen.dk
  [name]@hallgruppen.lv
  [name]@hallgruppen.fi
• Clicking a link in an email is not recommended if you are unsure of the sender or the content of the message.
• Examine emails asking you to change the account number for invoice payment.

We have not changed our billing and payment procedures, etc. If you experience deviations from our normal routines and practices, please contact us. Together, we can ensure that neither Hallgruppen, customers, suppliers, or any other third-party fall victim to scams or other fraudulent activities.

At the same time, we encourage all our customers, suppliers, and collaborators to ensure satisfactory ICT security mechanisms are established. In addition, we encourage efforts to build awareness and competence within the organization.
